Eingang zu Aquatica

Aquatica ist ein etwa 20 ha großer Wasserpark in Orlando, Florida. Der erste Teil des Parks wurde am 1. März 2008 eröffnet, die eigentlich Eröffnung ist am 4. April 2008. Es ist neben SeaWorld of Florida und Discovery Cove der dritte Freizeitpark der Sea World Gruppe in Orlando. Die Sea World-Freizeitparks gehören zu der Busch Entertainment Corporation, einer Division des US-amerikanischen Brauereikonzern Anheuser-Busch.
Der Freizeitpark Aquatica besteht unter anderem aus 36 Wasserrutschen, sechs Flüssen und mehreren Lagunen. Die landschaftliche Gestaltung des Parks lehnt sich an die Landschaften von Neuseeland, Australien und Neu Guinea an. Die Hauptattraktion ist eine Wasserrutsche, mit der man durch eine durchsichtige Röhre durch eine kristallblaue Lagune mit Commerson-Delfinen und anderen Tieren fährt. Diese Delfine wurden gewählt, da sie mit ihrer schwarzweißen Zeichnung dem Symbol von Sea World, dem Orca Shamu ähnlich sehen.

Aquatica ist der erste vollkommen neu errichtete Freizeitpark in Zentral-Florida seit dem Jahr 2000 (der Eröffnung von Sea Worlds Discovery Cove).

Body/Mat Slides

Die Hauptattraktion des Parks: The Dolphin Plunge

The Dolphin Plunge The Dolphin Plunge ist die populärste Attraktion des Parks. In zwei parallelen Rohren rutscht man durch eine Unterwasserwelt mit vier Commerson-Delfinen (Wai, Tere, Horo und Kaha).

Taumata Racer Taumata Racer ist eine achtspurige Wasserrutsche, auf der man mit dem Kopf voran einen Berg in Tiefe saust. Taumata ist die Abkürzung für Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu, dem Māori-Name eines 305 m hohen Hügels in Neuseeland.

Raft Slides

Whanau Way ein Turm mit 4 Wasserrutschen. This quadruple slide tower is one of the most popular rides in the park. In the isles of the South Seas, Wanau means extended family, which is what you'll feel like after diving down the slides on double inner tubes together. Look out below!

Tassie's Twisters Tassie Twister is one of the wackiest rides we've ever imagined. In fact, getting there is part of the fun. From the Loggerhead Lane lazy river, you,ll make your way to the island in the center and climb to the tower. Once you get to the top, lightning fast tubes shoot you into a giant bowl, where you'll spin, and spin, and spin, until you're finally spun back out into the lazy river. You've never seen- or felt- anything quite like it.

Walhalla Wave Walhalla Wave is a thrilling ride for the whole family, zooming you through a 6-story maze of twists, turns, and tunnels before you surge back out into daylight.

HooRoo Run In New Zealand, "hooroo" means "goodbye" but get ready to yell it quickly. By the time your raft is heaved over the edge, you'll speed to the bottom before you can say hello again. Both rides share a center tube lift, which means no lugging it up the stairs yourself. Which is good- you'll need your energy for the trip back down!

Lazy Rivers

Der Lazy River Roa′s Rapids

Roa's Rapids eine schnellere Version der Lazy Rivers mit Geysiren und Stromschnellen. Roa's Rapids race you along an action river ride through the white waters of Aquatica. Get ready for an awesome adventure through a roaring sea of high tides, swirling whirlies, and gushing geysers- all at speeds that leave ordinary river rides eating this one's wake.

Loggerhead Lane ein traditioneller Lazy River mit einer Grotte entlang der Commerson-Delfine. Take a load off your feet and hop on a lazy river ride down Loggerhead Lane. This leisurely raft ride takes you through an underwater world colored by exotic tropical fish. Then get the best view of the park from the Dolphin Plunge, where riders zoom through a lagoon that a playful pod of Commerson's Dolphins call home. Want to dial up the excitement? Take the path along the center island and take a whirlwind spin down Tassie Twister.

Wave Pools

Cutback Cove Cutback Cove hat stärkere und größere Wellen. At Cutback Cove, the waves are always rolling, and the action's always high. Big Surf Shores In Big Surf Shores hat sanftere, rollende Wellen. At Big Surf Shores, the surf can be high or slow and easy.

Bereiche für Kinder

Kata's Kookaburra Cove kleiner Rutsche für Kinder If you're a kid, Kata's Kookaburra Cove is the coolest place in the park to be. Named for a little bitty bird with a big call that sounds like someone tickled its funny bone, this kooky, quirky cove has a way of making even a grown-up want to jump right in and play. With a beginner's body slide, water spouts and silly spilly rides, kids can laugh it up all day long- and so can you!

Walkabout Waters eine Festung mit Rutschen und Leitern With its whimsical character and a seemingly endless sea of fun, Walkabout Waters is one of the most talked-about places in the park for kids. This towering, 60-foot-tall rain fortress is bursting with color, excitement, and adventures waiting to begin. Covering a full 15,000 square feet, it's easy to spot on a map- though for a walkabout, who needs one? Just do like we do in the South Seas and follow the laughter!

Park mascots

Instead of importing established characters from SeaWorld, such as Shamu, Aquatica has developed its own set of characters, known as "park ambassadors." Visible on merchandise and on signage and statuary throughout the park, these characters include:

• Papa, a Royal Spoonbill
• Wae Wae, a takahē
• Motu, a turtle

Aquatica Dubai

Am 28. Februar 2008 gab die Busch Entertainment Corp. in SeaWorld of Florida bekannt, dass im Jahr 2012 ein weiterer Park in Dubai (VAE) eröffnet werden soll.
