According to the rumor, Suzanne Belperron (1900-1983), one of the most talented and influential creative jeweler of the twentieth century, had burned her archives. This was just a myth.
Indeed, in 2007, after the death of the residual legatee of Suzanne Belperron, her archives are discovered: a multitude of drawings, models, casts, sketches, business correspondence, diaries and order books held day by day from 1937 to 1974, photos and newspaper articles countersigned.
At the request of the new sole heir, who allowed me to acquire on October 1st, 2008 all of her personal archives, I became the expert of "any work performed by Suzanne Belperron". These archives reveal that many untruths were written on Suzanne Belperron, a very secret and discreet woman.
Also, in 2012, after years of almost daily inspection of Suzanne Belperron archives, I wanted, through Wikipedia, make available to the fan community, a part of the history of this great artist's life, because her motto was: "My style is my signature".
