Bilder gelöscht

Hallo,

du hast die beiden Bilder http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Macho_Man_Randy_Savage_mit_Jesse_The_Body_Ventura_-_Survivor_Series_1988.jpg und http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Macho_Man_Randy_Savage_mit_Miss_Elizabeth_und_Hulk_Hogan_-_Wrestlemania_IV_1988.jpg mit dem Hinweis, es handelt sich um Copyright-Verletzung, gelöscht. Beide Bilder hatte ich unter: w:de:Randy Savage eingebunden gehabt. Unter: w:en:Gorilla Monsoon finde ich einen Screenshot, der Jesse Ventura mit Gorilla Monsoon zeigt und augenscheinlich ebenfalls ein Screenshot von einem WWF HomeVideo ist. Wieso darf dieses Bild stehen bleiben, meine Screenshots aber nicht?

If you want to upload photos to WikiCommons you must I) be certain that the copyright owner has released them under a free license (GFDL, CC or similar) and II) provide a source so that others can verify this. The users of English Wikipedia have decided that similar screenshots are acceptable since US copyright law accepts Fair use, however, uploading them to WikiCommons or German Wikipedia is not. See Commons:Licensing for which kind of works that are acceptable. If you want to upload WWF screenshots you should get in touch with World Wrestling Federation and ask them about conditions first.

Bilder gelöscht II

Hallo, du hast auf der Seite Seilklemme ein Bild von einer Petzl Basic gelöscht. Ich persönlich habe dieses Bild fotografiert, und unter einer freien Lizenz zur verfügung gestellt (GFDL). Leider habe ich persönlich dieses Bild nicht mehr lokal gespeichert, ich wäre daher erfreut, wenn du deine Löschaktion rückgängig machen könntestt. puetsch

I'm afraid you're wrong, the photo was not licensed under GFDL or any other license. On May 5 Puetsch uploaded the photo to WikiCommons with the comment: "Seilklemme Petzl Basic". No copyright information, no source. On September 20 Puetsch was notified that the photo was at risk of being deleted unless he/she dealt with the missing information. The simplest way is to only upload photos you took yourself with your own camera. If you want to upload photos from the TV show "Seinfeld", ask the production company to release the photos under a free license (GFDL, Creative Commons). Don't take a fair use photo from English Wikipedia and upload it to WikiCommons as GFDL. That behaviour could quickly get you banned. Thuresson 11:43, 16. Okt 2005 (CEST)

deleted Images

Dear Thuresson I see that it's mandatory to delete images without a propre copy right and it's nice of you that you delete the reference in the articles, too. But there exists a problem if the image reference is within a townbox, then eliminating can corrupt the displayed result as it has done in some Suisse Communities. There we insert a placeholder like Wappen_fehlt.jpg, the same is true for German communities too. For today I've inserted them but you cannot be sure of my collegues or me seeing the problem the next time..... Du hast zwei Bilder (Paddle Atari 2600 und Pac Man Cartridge Atari 2600) gelöscht, mit dem Hinweis, es handele sich um eine Copyrightverletzung. Das kann ich nicht erkennen, da ich die Fotos selbst aufgenommen habe. Was soll das also????

WikiCommons specifically do not allow trademarked symbols or logos. See Commons:Licensing. Established practice is to not make a difference between drawings of trademarks and photographs of trademark. Your line of reasoning has been tried before but has been rebuffed. Thuresson 00:10, 22. It's not enough that you ask the copyright owners. The copyright owner must also allow anybody to use the photos for any purpose and others must be able to have the permission verified. I asked you specifically about the permissons for photos and all you did was repeat the web address to www.turkyildizlari.tr which do not mention GNU General Public License. Scanned image of a stamp

I assumed, perhaps falsely, that you did not engrave the stamp. I also assumed that you did not issue the stamp yourself. Please do not upload images that are copyright violations. Uploading that kind of material could put the Wikimedia foundation at risk. Thuresson 21:10, 31. Jan 2006 (CET)

Bilder um 1850

Hallo, Du hast ein paar Bilder gelöscht, u.a. auf Jan Jacob Rochussen, der 1879 gestorben ist, das Portrait ist mindestens 20 Jahre vor seinem Tod entstanden, Zeichner (mir) unbekannt, Aufbewahrungsort (mir) unbekannt. Ich weiß nicht was ich weiter als Quelle angeben soll, aber eine ausdrückliche Lizenz bei Bildern um 1850 brauche ich doch eigentlich nicht, oder? Mehr kann ich nicht angeben... You must provide a license for EVERY image you upload to WikiCommons. You must also provide a source so that others can check your work. A good start would be the name of the painter. If you think that this is a painting from the 1850s, you could provide a source to verify that. Images on WikiCommons without a source / license may be deleted 7 days after upload. Bechtolsheim-Foto

The licence of the Andreas von Bechtolsheim photo in Commons has been changed wrongly, from copyrighted free use to promotional, see [2]. I had been in contact with Mr Prove, who works for SUN, and has - on my suggestion - got the permission from the SUN people to upload the photo with the given free licence. Thanks for your message. The photo was uploaded in January and the permission from SUN that anybody can use the photo for any purpose should have been added long ago. Since en:Image:Andy Bechtolsheim.jpg is even now tagged as "fair use" and photos.sun.com claims copyright, this photo was deleted since WikiCommons do not accept fair use photos. Thuresson 14:57, 11. You deleted 2 drawings of lamps in article "Heinrich Göbel". These drawings are part of a public litigation in 1893 in the United States. They were published by several newspapers and they are part of the documents in the National Record Administration for the north-east in the USA. What is the copyright-problem? Thank you for your message: Bild:Sfulogo (en:Image:Sfulogo.gif) is published at English Wikipedia under the fair use clause in US copyright law. Since WikiCommons do not allow fair use images, it was deleted.
