They had been invited to help organize the new "Polish Government of National Unity" in March 1945 and captured by NKWD. Despite the court's conspicuous leniency, only two were still alive six years later.

Es wurde vor dem 1. Januar 1955 veröffentlicht und der Urheber (falls bekannt) war vor diesem Zeitpunkt verstorben.

Ein ukrainisches oder sowjetisches Werk, das in der Ukraine nach diesen Regeln gemeinfrei ist, ist in den USA nur dann gemeinfrei, wenn es in der Ukraine vor dem 1. Januar 1996 gemeinfrei war, z. B. wenn es vor dem 1. Januar 1946 veröffentlicht wurde und der Urheber vor diesem Zeitpunkt verstarb und in den USA kein Copyright eingetragen wurde. (Dies ist die Folge aus der Kombination von [1], dem Beitritt der Ukraine zur Berner Übereinkunft zum Schutz von Werken der Literatur und Kunst von 1996 und von 17 USC 104A und dem dort festgelegten Datum 1.
