Different in kind as are the above-named cells, thaton microscopic investigation wc find interwoven onewith the other, all have but evolved by specialisationfrom a single primitive form of cell, viz., from thathomogeneous, simplest cell to which the egg, at thecommencement of the animals development, givesorigin.
