Die Roland MC-505 ist die Nachfolge-Groovebox des MC-303 und besteht aus Drumcomputer, Musiksequenzer, sowie synthetischer Klangerzeugung mit entsprechenden Funktionen. Sie beinhaltet Sounds und Styles des Synthesizers JX-305 Groovesynth.
