Argonaut Press

Die Argonaut Press ist eine Sammlung von bedeutenden Reisebeschreibungen und Berichten über Entdeckungsfahrten, worauf bereits ihr Untertitel hindeutet (Classics of travel and exploration). Die englische Buchreihe erschien in London bei der Argonaut Press ab 1926 bis in die späteren 1930er Jahre. Der Band The World Encompassed von Sir Francis Drake war die erste Publikation der Argonaut Press. Die Reihe umfasst über ein Dutzend Bände. In der Reihe erschien beispielsweise auch die englische Übersetzung der Reisen des Marco Polo in der Übersetzung von John Frampton.
