Željko Balen
BearbeitenŽeljko Balen (born 11 October 1990) is a Croatian football coach and former player who played as a midfielder, and is currently working as an assistant coach of the SK Sturm Graz U-18.[1]
Career as a player
BearbeitenDuring his time as a player, Balen played for a number of clubs. He started off his youth career at NK Graničar Đurđevac, before joining NK Slaven Belupo in 2005 and starting his career. He stayed at Slaven Belupo until 2009, after joining TSV Hartberg.
Balen also played for SC Weiz, SK Sturm Graz. He finished his career in 2016 at SK Werndorf. The same year Balen graduated for UEFA 'B' Coaching Licence and started his coaching career.
Coaching career
BearbeitenFollowing his retirement as a player, Balen was first appointed as head coach of the USV Grafendorf[2] First team in November 2016.
