- Dr.-Ing. electrical engineering (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, École Polytechnique de Montréal & Massachussetts Institute of Technology)
Vocation: Designing and building IT systems for the banking industry, designing technology driven business models and drafting medium to long term business strategies for the finance sector.
Past projects include various IT and business strategy adjustments, core banking IT transformations, building a fraudscoring system, designing the security architecture for an online payments system, designing the overall architecture of a distributed identity and access management system with regulatory compliant KYC mechanisms, educating various CEOs about blockchains, cloud, open source, distributed computing and machine learning, plattform models and the business implications of theoretical concepts such as the dwarf sitting on a giant's shoulder as proposed by Ovid and Bernhard of Chartres.
As Wikipedia is - very much like Open Source in general - based on the same concept of everybody contributing to the work of pioneers, it is very appealing to me and I try to contribute where I can.
