Hi. Why are you removing images like this? I don't understand German. I'm not a bot. Emijrp 11:51, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten

Because it has no valid licence for germany. There are a lot of images like this, which you added in a bot-like manner. If you do not understand the language, in which you are editing, you should not edit. Other images you have added like in Anastasius II. have a valid licence, but are not wanted here as they are not conforming to the guidlines for illustration. --GDK Δ 12:00, 11. This is the German language Wikipedia, not the Wikipedia of Germany. Also, people who read this Wikipedia might live outside Germany, so, they can use the images. Emijrp 12:05, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
No, the licence says clearly, that it is not usable for the german wikipedia. --GDK Δ 12:10, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
Thats your opinion. The English one is different [1]. If you replace the word "Germany" for "German Wikipedia" it is your problem, and that is not law. Emijrp 12:19, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
Emirjp, calm down, please. I don't agree with that "german" opinion either: nobody will ever sue the german WP for old portraits like these. If the status of this picture ist "unknown" because the Russian laws are, err, stupid (contradicting themselves etc.) we may simply not care (my opinion). Same applies to pictures of other countries' origin. BUT: this is not GDK's private opinion or "problem" but German (= German language) WP's policy: laws of Germany, Austria und Switzerland apply, whichever is the most restrictive. Sad but true, see Wikipedia:Bildrechte#Wikipedia richtet sich nach DACH-Recht. -- Amga 12:55, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
Very sad, indeed. Emijrp 13:29, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
No, that is the oppinion of the German speaking community. We follow the most restrictive copyright law from Germany, Austria and Switzerland: Wikipedia:Bildrechte#Wikipedia richtet sich nach DACH-Recht. --GDK Δ 12:57, 11. Nov. 2010 (CET)Beantworten
