  • Cersei - is a tool designed for importing or scraping data from various third-party sources, using source-specific Python code. It can use a "headless browser" to scrape complicated websites that rely on eg JavaScript to navigate. It can therefore access data sources that can not be accessed via eg Mix'n'match. The data from sources can be updated regularly, either for everything, or just changed entries (if the source has a "recent changes" equivalent).
  • Wikidata:Zotero/Cita - is a Wikidata addon for Zotero that adds citations (i.e., what other items an item cites) metadata support to this open source reference management software, using cites work (P2860) information available from Wikidata, and enabling users to easily contribute missing data.

• IP Masking: We are continuing to adapt Wikibase to the upcoming IP Masking feature. We worked on hiding warnings about IP addresses being saved when they don’t apply (phab:T353807, phab:T352006) and creating temporary accounts when editing (phab:T354730)
• Wikibase REST API:
  • We continued working on the ability to get a sitelink for a given site (phab:T344039)
  • We started working on the ability to remove a sitelink for a given wiki (phab:T344685)
  • We worked on fixing a bug where the REST API PUT request does not handle statement on Items with lowercase statement IDs (phab:T352644)

• Stewards können nun Autoblocks für globale Kontosperren aktivieren. Dies hilft Stewards dabei, Missbrauch durch Benutzer zu verhindern, die global gesperrt wurden. Dazu gehört, dass global gesperrte temporäre Konten 24 Stunden lang ihre Sitzung nicht beenden oder den Browser wechseln können, um nachfolgende Bearbeitungen durchzuführen. Bisher konnten temporäre Konten ihre aktuelle Sitzung beenden oder den Browser wechseln, um mit der Bearbeitung fortzufahren. Dies ist eine Verbesserung des Werkzeugs zur Missbrauchsbekämpfung für das Projekt Temporäre Konten. Du kannst mehr zum Fortschritt bei wichtigen Funktionen für temporäre Konten lesen. [4]
• Wikis, in denen die CampaignEvents-Erweiterung aktiviert ist, können jetzt die Funktion Kollaborationsliste verwenden. • In Wikis mit aktivierter Übersetzungserweiterung werden Benutzer feststellen, dass der FuzzyBot jetzt automatisch übersetzte Versionen von Kategorien, die auf übersetzten Seiten verwendet werden, erstellt. [7]
• Sieh dir alle 29 von der Community eingereichten Tasks an, die letzte Woche gelöst wurden. Beispielsweise wurde der eingereichte Task, die SecurePoll-Erweiterung für die spezielle Administratorwahl der Englischen Wikipedia zu verwenden, rechtzeitig gelöst. [8]

• In 1.44.0-wmf-2 hat sich die Logik der Wikibase-Funktion getAllStatements geändert und verhält sich nun wie getBestStatements. Der Aufruf der Funktion gibt nun eine Kopie der Werte zurück, die unveränderlich sind. [9]
• Nutzer der Wikimedia REST-API, wie Bot-Betreiber und Entwickler von Werkzeugen, können von laufenden Upgrades betroffen sein. Die API wird einige Seiteninhalts-Endpunkte von RESTbase auf die neueren MediaWiki REST-API-Endpunkte umleiten. Zu den betroffenen Endpunkten gehören das Abrufen von Seiten-/Versionsmetadaten und gerenderten HTML-Inhalten. Diese Änderungen werden später in dieser Woche im Test-Wiki verfügbar sein, weitere Projekte werden folgen. Diese Änderung sollte die bestehende Funktionalität nicht beeinträchtigen, aber aktive Benutzer der betroffenen Endpunkte sollten das Verhalten im Test-Wiki überprüfen und etwaige Bedenken im zugehörigen Phabricator-Ticket äußern.

• Nutzer von Wikimedia-Seiten werden nun gewarnt, wenn sie eine Weiterleitung zu einer Seite erstellen, die nicht existiert. Dadurch wird die Anzahl der fehlerhaften Weiterleitungen auf Rotlinks in unseren Projekten reduziert. [11]
• Sieh dir alle 42 von der Community eingereichten Tasks an, die letzte Woche gelöst wurden. Beispielsweise wurde Pywikibot, der die Arbeit auf MediaWiki-Seiten automatisiert, auf Toolforge auf 9.5.0 aktualisiert. [12]

• Auf Wikis, die die Erweiterung FlaggedRevs verwenden, werden Seiten, die von Benutzern mit den entsprechenden Rechten erstellt oder verschoben wurden, automatisch als gesichtet markiert. Diese Funktion hat in letzter Zeit nicht funktioniert und Änderungen, die das Problem beheben, sollten diese Woche eingeführt werden. Vielen Dank an Daniel und Wargo für die Arbeit daran. [13][14]

Treffen und Veranstaltungen
