Letzte Änderungen

• If your wiki uses markup like <div class="mw-content-ltr"> or <div class="mw-content-rtl"> without the required dir attribute, then these will no longer work in 2 weeks. There is a short-term fix that can be added to your local wiki's Common.css page, which is explained at T287701. From now on, all usages should include the full attributes, for example: <div class="mw-content-ltr" dir="ltr" lang="en"> or <div class="mw-content-rtl" dir="rtl" lang="he">. This also applies to some other HTML tags, such as span or code. You can find existing examples on your wiki that need to be updated, using the instructions at T287701.
• Erinnerung: Wikimedia ist aus dem alten Freenode-Netzwerk in das Libera Chat IRC-Netzwerk gewechselt. Lokale Dokumentation sollte aktualisiert werden.

Probleme

• Last week, all wikis had slow access or no access for 30 minutes. There was a problem with generating dynamic lists of articles on the Russian Wikinews, due to the bulk import of 200,000+ new articles over 3 days, which led to database problems. The problematic feature has been disabled on that wiki and developers are discussing if it can be fixed properly. [1][2]

• When adding links to a page using VisualEditor or the 2017 wikitext editor, disambiguation pages will now only appear at the bottom of search results. This is because users do not often want to link to disambiguation pages. [3]
• Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf den Testwikis und MediaWiki.org ab 3 August verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias ab 4 August. Auf allen Wikis ab 5 August (Kalender).

• The team of the Wikipedia app for Android is working on communication in the app. The developers are working on how to talk to other editors and get notifications. You can read more. They are looking for users who want to test the plans. Any editor who has an Android phone and is willing to download the app can do this.
• The Beta Feature for Diskussions-Werkzeuge will be updated in the coming weeks. You will be able to subscribe to individual sections on a talk page at more wikis. You can test this now by adding ?dtenable=1 to the end of the talk page's URL (example).

Probleme

• Am 10. August konnten 17 Wikis einige Minuten lang gelesen, aber nicht editiert werden. Das ist geplant um 05:00 UTC, wegen Arbeiten an der Datenbank. [5]

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche

• Der Wikimania Hackathon wird am 13. August online stattfinden, beginnend um 5:00 UTC und geht 24 Stunden lang. Es gibt verschiedene Teilnahmemöglichkeiten. Projekte und Sessions können noch vorgeschlagen werden.
• Die neue Version von MediaWiki wird auf Test-Wikis und MediaWiki.org ab 10 August zu finden sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia Wikis und einigen Wikipedias ab 11 August. Sie wird auf allen Wikis ab 12 August (calendar) verfügbar sein.
• Altes CSS <div class="visualClear"></div> wird nach dem 12. August nicht mehr unterstützt. Stattdessen sollten Vorlagen und Seiten <div style="clear:both;"></div> benutzen. Bitte helft dabei mit, alle existierenden Anwendungen auf euren Wikis entsprechend zu ersetzen. Links für die globale Suche sind verfügbar bei T287962.

Künftige Änderungen

• The Wikipedia Library ist ein Ort für Wikipedia-Editoren, wo auf Quellen zugegriffen werden kann. Es gibt eine Erweiterung mit einer neuen Funktion, Nutzern mitzuteilen wann sie teilnehmen können. Es kommen Benachrichtigungen zum Einsatz. Die ersten Nutzer werden im September angepingt. Mehr Nutzer werden später angepingt. [6]

  • Regular expressions in constraints are now no longer checked via the Query Service. The checks have been completely moved over to a dedicated service for regular expression checking. (phab:T204031)
  • Edits made via the user interface (as opposed to with tools, bots, etc.) are now tagged as such to make them easier to filter (example - edits made to labels, descriptions and aliases on mobile are still missing but will follow soon)
  • Working on allowing to restrict constraints to certain entity types (phab:T269724)

• Sprachlinks können wieder in der Seitenleiste im new Vector-Skin hinzugefügt werden, indem die Seite mit einem Wikidata-Item verbunden wird. Der neue Vector-Skin hat die Sprachlinks bewegt, doch der neue Sprachen-Selektor kann noch keine Sprachlinks hinzufügen. [8]

Probleme

• Es gab ein Problem mit der Erweiterung Translate. Übersetzungen wurden nicht aktualisiert oder mit englischem Text ersetzt. Der Bug ist behoben worden. [9][10][11]

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche

• Ein Schlagwort für Revisionen ergänzt bald Bearbeitungen, die Links zu Begriffsklärungsseiten einbinden, weil diese Links normalerweise versehentlich eingebunden werden. Der Tag wird es Bearbeitern ermöglichen, defekte Links leichter zu finden und zu reparieren. Wenn dein Wiki dieses Feature nicht mag, kann es auch versteckt werden. [12]

• The Score extension (<score> notation) has been re-enabled on public wikis and upgraded to a newer version. Some musical score functionality may no longer work because the extension is only enabled in "safe mode". The security issue has been fixed and an advisory published.

Letzte Änderungen

• Die Syntax von Musiknoten funktioniert teilweise nicht mehr und muss daher aktualisiert werden. Unter Category:Wikipedia:Seite mit Notensatzfehlern kann eine Liste der fehlerhaften Seiten in deinem Wiki ausgegeben werden.

Probleme

• Beim Musiknotensatz war es in einigen Sprachen nicht möglich, die Liedertexte hinzuzufügen, weil dazu Schriften fehlten. Das wurde nun behoben. Wenn du in deiner Sprache lieber eine andere Schriftart verwenden möchtest, teile uns das bitte auf Phabricator mit. [14]

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche

• Die Parameter, mit denen man Token über die MediaWiki-API erhalten kann, wurden im Jahr 2014 geändert. Die alte Variante wird ab dem 1. September 2021 nicht mehr funktionieren. Skripte, Bots und Tools, die noch die alten Parameter aus der Zeit vor der Änderung 2014 verwenden, müssen aktualisiert werden. Hier kannst du dazu mehr erfahren.
