Überarbeiten

Im Artikel heißt es, das Gelände sei mit dem Superdome und dem Dominion Tower überbaut worden. In der englischen Wikipedia wird das genaue Gegenteil behauptet, nämlich dass der Superdome und der Dominion Tower in der Nähe, aber nicht auf dem Gelände erbaut wurden, während sich auf dem Gelände das Parkhaus eines Einkaufszentrums befände, wo die Stadt 2008 den Bau eines Vergnügungsviertels planen würde, während der Superdome auf einem früheren Eisenbnahngelände errichtet worden sei. Zitate aus den angegebenen Quellen: "After the removal of remains took place, the tombs and vaults in the cemetery were destroyed to make way for the new civic buildings. Thirteen of the most outstanding vault slabs were preserved and attached to the back wall of the Canal Street wing of Hope Mausoleum, in adjacent St. John Cemetery.

The civic complex, however, didn't cover the entire site of the former burying ground. In 1970, the Louisiana Superdome was constructed on top of the remaining portion of what had been the Girod Street Cemetery." Jetzt kann man sich natürlich a) darüber streiten, ob "the Superdome's Southeast Parking Garage" Teil des Superdomes ist oder nicht, und b), ob die Karten und Luftbilder wirklich zentimetergenau in Übereinstimmung gebracht werden können. c) könnte man, statt Bausteine zu schubsen, auch eine Fußnote schreiben, in der aber bitte nicht steht, dass en dies und jenes meint, sondern dass nach dieser oder jener reputablen Quelle dieses oder jenes Gebäude nur auf dem Rand oder dicht neben dem ehemaligen Friedhofsgelände steht... --Xocolatl (Diskussion) 20:21, 30.
