Stillstand

April 2010, das Schloss zerfällt immer noch, keine Baumaßnahmen ersichtlich!

Nun ist es ja bis 2012 noch eine Weile hin. Bis jetzt stimmen die Aussagen im Artikel auch noch, auch wenn sicher Zweifel angebracht sind. Seit 2007 scheint es auch keine neuen Nachrichten zu geben. --Martin Zeise ✉ 07:32, 7. Apr. 2010 (CEST)

Fehler im Artikel

I wished to note that some of the information given in the entry for Schloss Protzel are factually incorrect. The von Eckardsteins were not expulsed from the Schloss but in fact evacuated their home, sometime after January 1945, as a result of the rapid advance of the Russian Army towards Protzel and Berlin. They feared for their lives. Similarly, the information about some Italians living in the Schloss between 1943 and 1945 is also incorrect, since as stated above it was the von Eckardstein's family home. I know this since this was my mother's family home. My Grandfather, Arnold von Eckardstein was away on the Northern front in the latter stages of WW2 when his family had to evacuate the Schloss. My mother has written about all of this in her book,titled I Close my Eyes and Dream, published in 2008.

To the best of my knowledge despite plans to turn the Schloss into a upmarket hotel, like Schloss Wulkow, which was my Grandmother's family home, or Schloss Reichenow (another family home), to date nothing has occurred. On the other hand, our family has contributed financially to the ongoing repairs/rennovation of Protzel's church.
