Die Liste Die 100 besten Jazz-Alben aller Zeiten wurde ab 2006 von einer Expertenjury mit der Rolling-Stone-Redaktion gewählt und 2013 veröffentlicht. Zeitlich liegt der Schwerpunkt mit rund der Hälfte der Einträge auf den Jahren 1956 bis 1969; die meisten Nennungen erhielten die Alben von John Coltrane (8), Miles Davis und Charles Mingus (jeweils 7) sowie von Duke Ellington (6).
