- Im Skin Vector 2022 wurde die Standardschriftgröße einiger Navigationselemente (Tagline, Tools-Menü, Navigationslinks und mehr) leicht erhöht, um sie an die Schriftgröße des Inhalts der Seite anzupassen. [1]
Probleme
- In der letzten Woche gab es für 1-6 Stunden in einigen Wikis ein Problem mit der Anzeige kürzlich erfolgter Bearbeitungen. Die Bearbeitungen wurden gespeichert, aber nicht direkt angezeigt. Dies lag an einem Datenbankproblem. [2]
Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche
Die neue Version von MediaWiki wird auf Testwikis und MediaWiki.org ab 7 November zu finden sein. Ab 8 November wird es in Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias zu finden sein. Es wird auf allen Wikis ab 9 November (Kalender) zu finden sein.- Das Growth-Team wird ehemaligen Lotsen zugewiesene Neulinge derzeit aktiven Lotsen zuweisen. It is a translation of 19th-century South African schoolteacher Enoch Sontonga's popular African hymn "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika" into Zimbabwe's native Shona and Ndebele languages. Probleme

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche
- Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab 14 November verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 15 November. Auf allen Wikis ab 16 November (Kalender).
Zukünftige Änderungen
- Einzelnachweis-Vorschauen werden in vielen Wikis als Standardfunktion eingeführt. Sie sind Popups für Einzelnachweise, vergleichbar mit der Funktion Seitenvorschauen. Du kannst die Funktion deaktivieren. Wenn du die Helferleins Einzelnachweis-Tooltips oder Navigations-Popups nutzt, wirst du Einzelnachweis-Vorschauen nicht sehen. Die Einführung ist für den 22. November 2023 geplant.
Canary-Ereignisse (auch bekannt als heartbeat) werden ab dem 11. Dezember in den Wikimedia-Ereignisstreams produziert. Stream-Nutzern wird empfohlen, diese Ereignisse herauszufiltern, indem alle Ereignisse mit meta.domain == "canary"verworfen werden. Aktualisierte Versionen von Pywikibot und Wikimedia-Streams werden diese Ereignisse standardmäßig verwerfen. [11]

Wir verabschieden uns von unserem Mitglied Devon Brunner, welcher aufgrund von Inaktivität ausscheiden musste.
Kurioses
Wem, glaubt ihr, ist zu verdanken, dass Volkswagen in China bis vor Kurzem Marktführer in der Autobranche war? Wenpo Lee floh zunächst von China nach Taiwan, anschließend studierte er in Deutschland und arbeitete dann bei VW in der Forschungsabteilung. 1978 stand eine unangemeldete chinesische Delegation vor den Werkstoren. Auf der Suche nach einem Dolmetscher war er der einzige, der Chinesisch konnte. Anfangs interessiert an LKW, lenkte Lee das Interesse der Chinesen auf PKW. Durch seine Kenntnisse des Landes erkannte er das Potential und überzeugte die Verantwortlichen von einer Expansion nach China, während die Delegation bei anderen Autobauern weniger Glück hatte. Nachfolgend leitete er die Expansion von Volkswagen nach China.

Während eines Wanderurlaubs schoss Ankermast dieses Foto. Es zeigt einen Baum im südlichen Teil der Halbinsel St. Bartholomä am Königssee. Dieser verdeckt die Häuser dahinter, außerdem verirren sich dorthin nur wenige Touristen. Das lässt die Umgebung besonders weit erscheinen. Please be bold and help translate this article! Bhagavata Mela is a classical Indian dance that is performed in Tamil Nadu, particularly the Thanjavur area. It is choreographed as an annual Vaishnavism tradition in Melattur and nearby regions, and celebrated as a dance-drama performance art. The dance art has roots in a historic migration of practitioners of Kuchipudi, another Indian classical dance art, from Andhra Pradesh to the kingdom of Tanjavur. The term Bhagavata, state Brandon and Banham, refers to the Hindu text Bhagavata Purana. Mela is a Sanskrit word that means "gathering, meeting of a group" and connotes a folk festival. The traditional Bhagavata Mela performance acts out the legends of Hinduism, set to the Carnatic style music. Wikidata Working Hours provide hands-on Wikidata experience in a supportive space. The seventh Wikidata Working Hour will cover the Author Disambiguator tool, which helps users assign authors to articles.During the session we will demonstrate how to use the tool on an author who was created during a previous working hour, and another who doesn't exist in Wikidata yet. After the demonstration, participants are encouraged to try the tool themselves during the rest of the working hour. Please be bold and help translate this article!  The Zaniskari or Zanskari is a breed of small mountain horse or pony from Ladakh, in northern India. It is named for the Zanskar valley or region in Kargil district. It is similar to the Spiti breed of Himachal Pradesh, but is better adapted to work at high altitude. Like the Spiti, it shows similarities to the Tibetan breeds of neighbouring Tibet. It is of medium size, and is often grey in colour. The breed is considered endangered, as there are only a few hundred alive today, and a conservation programme has been started at Padum, Zanskar, in the Kargil district of Ladakh.
