Änderungen für MAXX Artikel

Bearbeiten

Ihre Hits waren „Get-A-Way“, „No More (I Can’t Stand It)“ und „You Can Get It“.

Mitte 1994 erreichte „Get-A-Way“ 1.1 Millionen Plattenverkäufe in Europa.

Der MAXX Album Song „I Can Make You Feel Like“ wurde als vierte Single im Mai 1995 veröffentlicht. Dies war ein Fehler, da die Single nur Platz 56 der UK Charts erreichte. Im selben Jahr wurde dann eine Single veröffentlicht die nicht auf einem Album erschien. Sie hiess „Move Your Body“.

Feb. 2017 (CET))Beantworten

It would have been fine, if you would have put even a single reference in this draft. Now it's just plain Theoriefindung. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 15:13, 3. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
Ok, now there are were references, but I fail to see the huge difference, and it's still in most parts very unencyclopedic, and often enough not proper German.
Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
@Sänger why do you continue to put restrictions on me? i did everything that you asked. the current german MAXX ARTICLE has 2 sources. i repeat 2 sources. and the maxx website and some random blog that is user edited. almost everything written on the german wikipedia is limited and doesn't explain who MAXX is or who is in the group and who is not in the group and how the group has changed. maxx is not a german-swedish duo. Gary B. is not apart of MAXX anymore, and and the group had 3 hit singles, an album and 2 non album singles. NOT JUST 2 singles and then failure. you claim that my sources are not encylopedia-like sources. but the current german artikle has very little sources to begin with. i did everything that you asked. if my german is not PERFECT. why not actually HELP instead of blocking my every attempt to actully put a decent article on german wikipedia? what exactly do you want from me? if my german is not perfect, why not help revise the grammar alittle and actually help? i had a person who actually speaks german write the information. there's only 2 sentences typed my myself. and the MAXX article on ENGLISH wikipedia has met the standards there. why do you have such strict rules with me? and yet the current MAXX article in german violates the rules you hold me to?--Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
I really fail to see any notable difference between the current article and a condensed-to-encyclopedic-style version of your stuff. There are marginal things that could be integrated, but a complete rewrite is not necessary. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 19:14, 3. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
You actually very wrong. the difference is i actually show sources. here are the major differcnes
  1. . MAXX was created by a german music producer and a german record label executive.
  2. . MAXX is not a swedish german duo. MAXX is from Germany only! where is the source saying MAXX is part swedish?
  3. . MAXX had 3 hit singles. not just two. (You Can Get It) was the third.
  4. . The first single had vocals of samira besic and gary b. another woman was hired to lipsync the vocals of besic in the music video
  5. . Linda Meek (now know as Elyse) joined the act for the 2nd single and remained with the act until the group broke up in 1995.
  6. . The single (you can get it) was picked off the album and came out after the the album was released. so this was an album single.
  7. . Gary B. did not do a show in finland.
  8. . Elyse (aka Linda Meek) meet with MAXX creators to reform MAXX with new rapper. Linda Meek now goes by Elyse (aka Linda Meek) - what sources says she goes by the name Elyse G. Rogers in relation to MAXX?

also the german article does not highlight the fact that GARY B. is not in MAXX. also other people were apart of MAXX behind the scenes that aren't in the act.

the infobox on the german article does not have enough information. why are the rules so relaxed with what is already on the german wikipedia and yet my accurate edits are being treated so strictly? if your argument is that my changes don't make difference then what would it hurt to actually ad them to the article? why does English wikpedia approve of my edits - when i have placed valid sources. when the current german artikel makes up stuff in places and shows very minimal info that's very generic. i don't get why.

if you look at the ENGLISH version of the Maxx ARTICLE it shows the changes in MAXX, how long MAXX was active, the actual website and everything. it shows alot of detail. i don't understand your argument and why you PERSONALLY feel the article doesn't need to be changed? it is a very minimalistic and generic article. it seems like you personally what things to stay the same. i don't understand why. i did everything you asked. everything. and it still not enough.

  1. It's already in the second paragraph just not that prominent, no real need to change
  2. That seems to be right, the swedish wikipedia seems to debunk the tale that the rapper was swedish, and I tend to believe it
  3. They had 5 singles, but only two were really successful, and that's what ihre größten Erfolge (their biggest successes) says the other ones are in the list at the bottom, that's enough
  4. That's indeed missing and should be out in there somehow
  5. see above #4
  6. so what?
  7. see the ref, and this
  8. it's in the article already, and what do you want to say with the stuff behind the "-"?

Yes, there could be a bit more information about the different members throughout time.
Sentences like Unfortunately, their successful run in '90s was short-lived or such are not suited for an encyclopedia, they are essayist. Perhaps the enWP is less strict on this behalf, deWP tries to be strict. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 20:50, 3. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten

okay. fine i have no problem with making these changes. is this the reason why you keep blocking my changes? what other sentences do you deem to be 'essayist-like?'. how about i submit a 2nd draft. Is that suitable? And you say deWP is more strict. there is wrong info on the German version. how strict can you deWP be? there's only 2 sources on the page. i'm trying to correct that. will you allow me to do that? are you making this difficult for me because i don't speak perfect german and because i'm american? i mean eveyrtime i try to change something you find fault in SOMETHING. If those sentences are the only thingS stopping me from changing this minimalist - incorrect GERMAN language wikipedia article on MAXX, then i would be happy to change the 'eassayist' sentences you don't like. but can you not see that there is wrong info on the current german article? shall we try this again? --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
There is absolutely no need for a complete rewrite. All this can be fitted in the current article. Why do you insist ion a complete rewrite? Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 21:14, 3. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
can we not come to an agreement on which changes will be made? what is the policy on sources for german wikipedia? there's only 2 sources on the german version. clearly germany's rules are different. i would like to know the difference. what's the policy? because initially your issue with me was my german. now you claim my changes are unncessary. i feel like you feel a need to keep the article the way it is. MAXX is not a german-swedish duo act. why you refering to a swedish wikipedia as a means to debunk whether or not the act was swedish? why do you use youtube as a source? where in german wikipedia does it state that this is a source? my sources are verfiable. if you don't want a rewrite then how about we include information about MAXX that is CLEARLY missing from that article. can you not see that there is an official website with a history section on MAXX? information on the german MAXX article is minimalist!!! i'm trying to show the history of MAXX. "You Can Get It" was a No.21 hit in the UK and sold many copies. was it as successful as the first two hits? no. MAXX also did other songs. they had a song on a compilation that was not on a single. the article you have makes it appear as though Gary B. is till apart of MAXX. HE IS NOT APART OF MAXX!!!! on the infobox it says "LINDA MEEK" and "GARY BOKOE" - linda meek now goes by the Elyse (aka Linda Meek). do you not understand that there is MISSING INFORMATION IN THE GERMAN VERION OF THIS ARTICLE. IF YOUR ISSUE IS THAT YOU DON'T WANT IT RE-WRITTEN. THEN I WILL ACCEPT THAT. BUT YOU CANNOT LEAVE OUT VALUABLE INFO ABOUT THE GROUP!!! - WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE SELECTIVE ABOUT WHAT STAYS AND WHAT GOES. WHY NOT TELL THE STORY OF GROUP BASED ON VERIFIABLE SOURCES? WHAT IS THE GERMAN WIKIPEDIA POLICY ON SOURCES. THE CURRENT ARTICLE ONLY HAS 2 SOURCES. 2 SOURCES. the english verison has 22 sources. i don't understand why you find fault in everything i'm doing. is it because i'm american and don't speak perfect german? is that why you block my changes? what are the rules here? --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
If I look at this version, what do you want to prove with all this refs? The chart positions are already ref'ed, their homepage is as well already a ref. The extended prose is, what needs to be referenced, and best not from a primary source, i.e. their homepage, but reliable secondary sources, like the Rolling Stone, Spex, NME or such. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 22:05, 3. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
I see the changes that you made. thank you very much for seeing my logic finally. but the artikel still needs changing. but first let me show you my 'SOURCES' - these are actual german language articles written in pop magazines about MAXX. have a look
http://newwebdjs.webdjs.ch/gallery/maxxrep1.jpg
http://newwebdjs.webdjs.ch/gallery/maxxrep3.jpg
http://newwebdjs.webdjs.ch/gallery/maxxrep4.jpg

1. What is the harm in starting the artikel like this.

Why can't we put this at the top?

2. Why do you feel that we should exclude the fact that Linda Meek was not in the band in the begining?

CHECK OUT MY SOURCES. you must understand that the reason why i want to rewrite the the order in which the information is displayed is because it does not tell the FULL story of maxx. do you not understand that? "Get A-Way was sung by Samira Besic http://newwebdjs.webdjs.ch/gallery/maxxrep3.jpg. LOOK AT THE SOURCE. . Alice Montana was hired to lipsync her voice for Get away music video!! http://newwebdjs.webdjs.ch/gallery/maxxrep1.jpg. LOOK AT THE SOURCE. this is an important fact about MAXX. Linda Meek was NOT IN THE BAND IN THE BEGINING!!!!!!!

therefore this sentence is not fully correct. Das Duo bestand aus der Sängerin Linda Meek und Gary Bokoe, der Rapparts im Raggamuffin-Stil beisteuerte

Linda Meek was hired for 'no more' and then remaind in MAXX until the end in 1995. "get away' came first then 'no more' - then the MAXX album was released. and then you can get it came out which became a No. 21 Hit in the UK and Finland and several other countries.

that is when the group became Linda Meek und Gary Bokoe

3. The german article has a error. it says Jürgen Wind alias The Movement - this is wrong. he is "George Torpey"

i can also show you english language press releases from 1994 which explain who 'the movement' was.

The movement was :George Torpey, Dakota O'Niel and Dawhite. - not david brunner 'the hitman' - was not apart of THE MOVEMENT. - this is what i mean when i say the article needs more revisions. see what i mean by meaningless info?

4. what is the source for Gary Bokoe writing all the lyrics for the songs? where is the source for that? this is not correct. what's the source? und gemeinsam mit Gary Bokoe alle Texte der Band schrieben. this is wrong

and also why do you insist on leaving out "You Can Get It" it was a No. 21 Hit in the UK. THis is important information. I can actually show you articles from billboard magazine which show it's chart position https://books.google.com/books?id=YwgEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA56&dq=MAXX+1994+billboard&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiIla3f7uLPAhVE4iYKHaJxANwQ6AEISTAJ#v=onepage&q=MAXX%201994%20billboard&f=false if you give me 2 days i can scan and show you a german language artilce on "You Can Get It" too and how it was a big hit too. do you want to see it? i have no problem sharing it here too! it's in german so you should be able to read it well too.. was it as big as "Get Away" and "No More"? no. but why do you feel like this FACT needs to be excluded and not highlighted?. what is the harm in mentioning that they had '3 hit' songs AND NOT JUST TWO HIT SONGS.

and MAXX did a song for a compilation CD called "Bravo Dance X-Mas" - the MAXX song is called 'power of love' - why do you want this fact omitted from the article?

and for the line about Gary Bokoe in Finalnd why can we not say - "In 2014 Gary Bokoe did one performance in a club in Finland with an unknown singer as MAXX" - the current setence reads as though this girl was apart of MAXX. i see now that there was one finland MAXX tribute show done with gary bokoe and an unknown singer. but it was once. that's all! can we not be more accurate with the words!. why is a self-published blog article source and a youtube video a source too for German wikipedia are the rules different here on deWP because if i tried to to put that on English wikipedia it would get DELETED! in one day!

you claim that English wikipeida is not strict. they are strict. it's the german wikipedia that is not strict. if your problem with me is the quality of my german. i can get a new person to write the revisions in German. it's not problem. i have alot of german friends. --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion) (04:58, 4. Feb. 2017 (CET), Datum/Uhrzeit nachträglich eingefügt, siehe Hilfe:Signatur)Beantworten

@Sänger let me show you an example of a german wikipedia article which shows alot of detail. Jurgen Wind was producer of another group called "Real McCoy"
look at the detail of the article!! it gives lots of details and explains the story of the group and shows 13 + sources. i want the MAXX article to be like this. why do you want to prevent that? why do you want the MAXX article to be minimalist and wrong, unclear and not have complete information? i'm confused here... why do you want to stop me? what is your argument for keeping the article so basic? first your issue was my german. now it's now. why is there fault in everything i write? i have more than enough sources. and can give you more sources and actual scans of articles on MAXX in german printed from 1994 and old press releases from 1994- if that's what you want to see. is it because im american and my german is not perfect? how about i get a new person to work on the article again!! so that the german sentences are perfect for you. how's that sound? --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
There are two problems:
  1. You are not able to write in proper German, let alone in an encyclopedic style. Your suggestions in German usually don't help at all.
  2. I don't know fuck about this eurodance one-hit-wonder, one of oh so many, and I don't care that much about this kind of music.
So if you want to improve this article fast, you need to get some other guy, I'll take my time and improve in small steps. If you want to get more info direct in this article, you have to write this in proper German, or it will get reverted. There's imho no need for a complete rewrite of this, there are just some few facts that seem to be not correct, but WP is of course no valid source, as are primary sources.
My (perhaps wrong) impression about you is that of some extreme POV Fanboy or -girl, that wants his/her heroes eulogised, so I take all your sentences with quite some heavy grains of salt. Wikipedia has time, there's no need for hurry. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 15:30, 4. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
@Sänger I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH GETTING new HELP WITH THE GERMAN. i will get help with writing proper german. the scans i showed you are from german language pop magazines printed in 1994. i can provide you with ISBN numbers and actually submit them into the german wikpedia database so that they can be shown to be valid sources.you have the right to your own opinion. i also don't give a fuck if you don't like MAXX or see them as a one-hit wonder. that's your opinion. why do you allow your personal opinion of MAXX prevent the changing of the article. i also don't not give a fuck if you don't like me or eurodance. i don't care about your opinion of me. all i ask is that you allow me to modify the article so that it looks like the real mccoy wikipedia page which has 13+ sources and lots of details. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_McCoy
why do you limit my changes to MAXX- why have you taken a special interest in this article? go over to the real mccoy article and reduce that aritcle to 5 sentences. why don't you go to on english wikipedia it is possible to scan magazine articles, provide the author, date of publication and ID number (ISBN NUmber) and submit it to wikipedia as a valid source. i showed you the scan of 4 articles to show that those articles exist and that what i'm saying is not POV fan non sense. I PROVIDE FACTS!!! and my point is you want this article to be minimalist and have wrong or misleading information. and you seem to have a personal thing against me because my german is not perfect. how about this. i will actually get the german articles :::::re-scanned. and submit them to wikipedia's database. and i will get a new person to help me
for example on english wikipedia en:Mariah_Carey#Sources: if your scroll down to the bottom you'll see a section called 'soruces' - of books, and magazines. i have plenty of 'SOURCES' on MAXX that i can provide for a decent rewrtite of the article. but MAXX article should look like the real mccoy article. both groups were controlled by the same producers. why do you want to limit this? --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion) (17:34, 4. Feb. 2017 (CET), Datum/Uhrzeit nachträglich eingefügt, siehe Hilfe:Signatur)Beantworten
May I ask you a question? Besides not knowing proper German, you as well don't seem to know proper wikitext and -markup, and your constant SCREAMING doesn't make your posts better readable as well. You are the one, who wants something here for his idols.
The scans of some unknown magazines don't qualify as valid source, but I can use them as hints, no more, on first sight they may be from more or less proper sources for such subjects, like Bravo, Mädchen or such, but it could as well be some unreliable fanzine. The more you continue your torrent of words here, the less I'm inclined to really help, Now I've got to watch Sportschau on one of my screens, so I won't probably do much before Tagesschau. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 18:40, 4. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
Okay. so my german is not perfect. this can solved!!. but that's not your problem with me apparently. this started out as my german being horrible. but now it's changed to my sources aren't good enough to add the details i want to add are POV and a rewrite is not ncessary and only 'small' things can and will be added and my changes are unnecessary. First let me ask you something. Since you feel that i'm doing this as a fan and not citing sources properly from valid sources and putting in info. let me ask you this. what is your opinion on this article which is also for this other eurodance group that was produced by the exact same person Jurgen Wind (Real_McCoy).

why don't the wikipedia editors like yourself sensor and edit down this article too? and reduce it down to just the simple very basic info about the group? because from my understand that's what you want done with the MAXX article. i mean look at it? By your definition this article has POV un-encylopedic information in it that's written from the point of view a fan who wrote it. for example the first paragraph is cited by two sources. and it has extra commentary in it that's not found int the 2 sources that it's based around. i'm very certain if a looked hard enough i could find other wikipedia articles about eurodance groups that are just like this please look

Culture_Beat, DJ_BoBo, Mr._President, 2_Unlimited, Vengaboys E-Type Scooter Technotronic

each of these article have POV written info in them. and not alot sources too!. do you now understand what i mean now? those sites also have profile pictures and lots of details about the group in the infoboxes too. if by definition of the RULES. why are these article allowed to exist in this form? each article show a chonological summary of who was the group, who started the group and also chronologically tells the story of the group/ that's what i want to do with MAXX article. but the diffrence is, i actually have sources.

it's funny that you mention Bravo Magazine because that's the magazine from which the articles i showed you came from. Bravo magazine and Another one called "popcorn". i can show you ISBN numbers. both of these magazines are still in circulation in germany if i'm not mistaken. i can show you actual covers, isbn numbers, and other things. they are not meaningless fanzines. But again i will find another person to help me write things in german perfectly. that's not the issue here. my concern is this. i strangely feel like you are taking a special interest in keeping this article as is. but there are other aritcles on german wikipedia which violate the standards to which you are hold me to. that's the part i don't understand. --Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
I do not have the faintest idea, what your conception of the Wikipedia is. Why should I shorten any other article? First of all: Variatio delectat, if another article looks different, so what?
Then please take a wee look at this, this, this (it's really extreme), this, this and this with the One-Hit-Wonder, that's described here in this article. They are simply not in the same league. The real McCoy is comparable, but still 8 years instead of just 3 in their career. Why should I shorten anything? And what's still missing now, after I put the info in it? Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (Reden) 23:53, 4. Feb. 2017 (CET)Beantworten

@Sänger okay i see you finally made changes. okay. THANK YOU. can you mentioned the release of the album? "To The Maxximum?" and then the release of the single "You Can Get It which was a success. instead of "Es folgten weitere Veröffentlichungen, mit denen die Gruppe jedoch nicht an die vorangegangenen Erfolge anknüpfen konnte." the album was successful in Germany. and the 'you can get it' was a No. 21 hit in UK. can you please mention and the release of "power of love' on a compilation CD called "bravo dance x-mas" please remove the setence"und gemeinsam mit Gary Bokoe alle Texte der Band schrieben" should be omitted. where is the source for this comment? he was just the rapper? he did not write anything. also for "Gründungsmitglieder" only jurgen wind and david brunner should be listed. gary bokoe and samira besic were the singer/rappers they were not founding members. they did not start the group they participated in. also there were two final singles "i can make you feel like' - came before 'move your body" it wasn't just 'move your body' also can we modify the setence. -- Zu Beginn des Jahres 2014 trat der Rapper Gary Bokoe zusammen mit einer unbekannt Sängerin in Finnland auf-- if you can please add these 3 things i promise i will go away and leave you alone forever.Maxxmusicfan (Diskussion)
