Neuigkeiten

• Eine Neuigkeit für Altes: das Archiv. Dort findet ihr eingestampfte Projekte, ehemalige Wettbewerbe und die Archivseiten laufender Wettbewerbe.
• Der Wettbewerb um den Artikel des Quartals steht wieder an. Ihr könnt eure Artikel dafür bis zum 21. März vorschlagen.
• Beim Wartungsbausteinwettbewerb hat das JWP-Team, bestehend aus Ankermast, Wandelndes Lexikon und ElBe, sage und schreibe 1287 Artikel verbessert und damit 1165,29 Punkte erreicht, was dem 5. Platz in der Gesamtwertung gleichkommt. Dies stellt sowohl nach Punkten als auch nach Platzierung das zweitbeste Ergebnis in der Geschichte der JWP dar. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
• Die Abstimmung über § 6a, § 7, § 8 unseres Regelwerks ging mit 4:0:4 Stimmen für den Vorschlag aus.
• Die eine Abstimmung ist vorbei und schon steht eine neue an. Ab Montag könnt ihr bei der Abstimmung zu ehemaligen Mitgliedern eure Stimme abgeben.
• Die nächste Videokonferenz findet am 25. März statt. Für nähere Infos siehe hier.

Das Treffen …

… war ein großer Erfolg. Neun Jungwikipedianer und eine nicht-ganz-Jungwikipedianerin aus ganz Deutschland sind nach Köln gereist, um Artikel zu bearbeiten, Neues zu lernen, sich auszutauschen und über die Zukunft der Jungwikipedianer zu sprechen. Alle Teilnehmer können sich gerne dieses Babel auf die Benutzerseite packen, um zu zeigen, dass sie dabei waren. Außerdem dürfen alle Fotos, die im Rahmen der Veranstaltung gemacht wurden, gern auf Commons hochgeladen werden.

Loch in der Decke des Kölner Hauptbahnhofs

Bei unserem Treffen waren einige von uns gerade noch rechtzeitig vor Ort, um im Hauptbahnhof ein ganz besonderes Loch in der Decke sehen zu können. Dieses entstand bei folgender gefilmter und auf YouTube veröffentlichter Aktion: [1]. Man beachte, dass das Missgeschick vor mehr als 6 Jahren geschah, aber das Loch wurde nie ausgebessert. Als wir an der Stelle vorbeikamen, konnte 958s das Foto rechts schießen und dieses fast-UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe für die Wikipedia erhalten.

Denn vor einigen Tagen tauchte ein Post auf Reddit auf, der zeigt, dass das Loch mittlerweile repariert wurde. Dort zeigt man sich entsetzt über das Verschwinden des „kölschen Kulturguts“ Jesus takes the escalator. Eine Reaktion der UNESCO steht noch aus.

Beim Wettbewerb zum Artikel des Quartals im Dezember hat Ankermast mit diesem Artikel den dritten Platz belegt.

Die Bouvet-Gruppe ist eine Reihe von Phantominseln im Südatlantik, die zwischen 1739 und 1898 von verschiedenen Expeditionen gesichtet oder betreten wurden. Zur Gruppe gehören die Phantominseln Bouvet & Hay, Thompson Island, Liverpool Island, Lindsay Island sowie die real existierende Bouvetinsel. Erst die deutsche Valdivia-Expedition konnte 1898 beweisen, dass lediglich die namensgebende Bouvetinsel existiert.  – Zum Artikel …

Neueste Technik-Nachrichten der Wikimedia-Community. Bitte informiere andere Nutzer über diese Entwicklungen. Nicht alle Änderungen werden dich betreffen.

Letzte Änderungen

• Die Seite Special:Book (sowie die zugehörige Funktion "Buch erstellen"), die durch die alte Collection-Erweiterung bereitgestellt wurde, wurde aus allen Wikisource-Wikis entfernt, da sie nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Dies betrifft nicht die Möglichkeit, normale Bücher herunterzuladen, da diese über die Wikisource-Erweiterung bereitgestellt wird. [2]
• Wikitech nutzt nun standardmäßig den Parsoid-Wikitext-Parser der nächsten Generation, um alle Seiten im Diskussionsnamensraum zu generieren. Melde jegliche Probleme auf der Diskussionsseite zu bekannten Problemen. Du kannst die Erweiterung ParserMigration nutzen, um die Nutzung von Parsoid zu kontrollieren; siehe die Hilfe-Dokumentation von ParserMigration für weitere Details.
• Die Wartungsarbeiten am Etherpad sind abgeschlossen. Wenn du Probleme bemerkst, gib dies bitte in diesem Ticket an.
• Helferleins erlauben es Benutzeroberflächenadministratoren, mit CSS und JavaScript benutzerdefinierte Funktionen zu erstellen. Die Namensräume Gadget und Gadget_definition und das Benutzerrecht gadgets-definition-edit waren für einen Test im Jahr 2015 reserviert, wurden aber nie genutzt. Sie waren auf Spezial:Suche und Spezial:Benutzergruppenrechte sichtbar. Die ungenutzten Namensräume und das Benutzerrecht wurden nun entfernt. Es werden keine Seiten verschoben und es sind keine Änderungen erforderlich. [3]
• Es wurde eine Verbesserung der Benutzerfreundlichkeit von "Beleg hinzufügen" im Arbeitsablauf in der Wikipedia vorgenommen, indem die Schaltfläche zum Einfügen in die Popup-Kopfleiste verschoben wurde. [4]

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche

• Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab 5 März verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 6 März. Auf allen Wikis ab 7 März (Kalender). [5][6]

Zukünftige Änderungen

• Am 20. März werden sich alle Wikis für mehrere Minuten im Lesemodus befinden. Dies ist für 15:00 MEZ geplant. Weitere Informationen werden in den Technischen Neuigkeiten veröffentlicht und in der kommenden Woche werden die einzelnen Wikis informiert. [7]
• Das HTML-Markup von Überschriften und Links zur Abschnittsbearbeitung wird im Laufe des Jahres geändert, um die Zugänglichkeit zu verbessern. Siehe Änderungen an HTML von Überschriften für Details. Das neue Markup wird das gleiche wie im neuen Parsoid-Wikitext-Parser sein. Du kannst dein Helferlein oder Stylesheet mit dem neuen Markup testen, indem du ?useparsoid=1 an deine URL anhängst (weitere Informationen) oder in deinen Benutzereinstellungen die Parsoid-Leseansicht aktivierst (weitere Informationen).

Letzte Änderungen

• Die Seite Special:Book (sowie die zugehörige Funktion "Buch erstellen"), die durch die alte Collection-Erweiterung bereitgestellt wurde, wurde aus allen Wikisource-Wikis entfernt, da sie nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Dies betrifft nicht die Möglichkeit, normale Bücher herunterzuladen, da diese über die Wikisource-Erweiterung bereitgestellt wird. [9]
• Wikitech nutzt nun standardmäßig den Parsoid-Wikitext-Parser der nächsten Generation, um alle Seiten im Diskussionsnamensraum zu generieren. Melde jegliche Probleme auf der Diskussionsseite zu bekannten Problemen. Du kannst die Erweiterung ParserMigration nutzen, um die Nutzung von Parsoid zu kontrollieren; siehe die Hilfe-Dokumentation von ParserMigration für weitere Details.

• Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab 5 März verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 6 März. Auf allen Wikis ab 7 März (Kalender). [12][13]

Zukünftige Änderungen

• Am 20. März werden sich alle Wikis für mehrere Minuten im Lesemodus befinden. Dies ist für 15:00 MEZ geplant. Weitere Informationen werden in den Technischen Neuigkeiten veröffentlicht und in der kommenden Woche werden die einzelnen Wikis informiert. [14]
• Das HTML-Markup von Überschriften und Links zur Abschnittsbearbeitung wird im Laufe des Jahres geändert, um die Zugänglichkeit zu verbessern. Siehe Änderungen an HTML von Überschriften für Details. Das neue Markup wird das gleiche wie im neuen Parsoid-Wikitext-Parser sein. Du kannst dein Helferlein oder Stylesheet mit dem neuen Markup testen, indem du ?useparsoid=1 an deine URL anhängst (weitere Informationen) oder in deinen Benutzereinstellungen die Parsoid-Leseansicht aktivierst (weitere Informationen).

• Nach Rücksprache mit verschiedenen Communities wird die Zeilenhöhe des Textes im Minerva-Skin auf den vorherigen Wert von 1,65 erhöht. Bei Bedarf können auch verschiedene Optionen für die Typografie über die Optionen im Menü eingestellt werden. [17]
• Die Farbe für aktive Links in Minerva wird geändert, um mehr Konsistenz mit unseren anderen Plattformen und besten Vorgehensweisen zu gewährleisten. [18]
• Structured data on Commons will no longer ask whether you want to leave the page without saving. This will prevent the “information you’ve entered may not be saved” popups from appearing when no information have been entered. It will also make file pages on Commons load faster in certain cases. However, the popups will be hidden even if information has indeed been entered. If you accidentally close the page before saving the structured data you entered, that data will be lost. [19]

Letzte Änderungen

• Der Hinweis "Sprachlinks befinden sich oben auf der Seite", der im Hauptmenü des Skins Vector 2022 erscheint, wurde entfernt, da die Benutzer nun wissen, wo sich der Sprachwechsler befindet. [29]
• Die IP-Info-Funktion zeigt Daten von Spur, einer Datenbank für IP-Adressen, an. Zuvor wurden für diese Funktion nur Daten von MaxMind genutzt. Die IP-Info ist für Kontrollierer nun hilfreicher. [30]
• Die Grid-Engine-Dienste auf Toolforge wurden nach dem finalen Migrationsprozess von Grid Engine auf Kubernetes abgeschaltet. [31][32][33]
• Communitys können nun Standardgründe für die Wiederherstellung einer Seite festlegen, indem sie MediaWiki:Undelete-comment-dropdown erstellen. [34]

Probleme

• Der Hinweis "Sprachlinks befinden sich oben auf der Seite", der im Hauptmenü des Skins Vector 2022 erscheint, wurde entfernt, da die Benutzer nun wissen, wo sich der Sprachwechsler befindet. [40]
• Die IP-Info-Funktion zeigt Daten von Spur, einer Datenbank für IP-Adressen, an. Zuvor wurden für diese Funktion nur Daten von MaxMind genutzt. Die IP-Info ist für Kontrollierer nun hilfreicher. [41]
• Die Grid-Engine-Dienste auf Toolforge wurden nach dem finalen Migrationsprozess von Grid Engine auf Kubernetes abgeschaltet. [42][43][44]
• Communitys können nun Standardgründe für die Wiederherstellung einer Seite festlegen, indem sie MediaWiki:Undelete-comment-dropdown erstellen. [45]

Probleme

• RevisionSlider ist eine Oberfläche zum interaktiven Navigieren durch die Versionsgeschichte einer Seite. Benutzer in Sprachen, die von rechts nach links geschrieben werden, haben gemeldet, dass der RevisionSlider falsch auf Mausklicks reagiert. Dies sollte nun behoben sein. [46]

  • Wikibase REST API:
    • We worked on the ability to create Items via POST /entities/items (phab:T342990)
    • We worked on making it possible to modify the data of a Property via PATCH /entities/properties/{property_id} (phab:T347394)
  • EntitySchemas: We are getting back to making architecture improvements to enable the new datatype to link to EntitySchemas in statements.
  • IP masking: We wrapped up the work on adapting Wikibase for the upcoming IP masking changes.
  • Query Service: We added the ability to stop a query in the UI in order to not have to wait for a broken query to finish or run into a time-out. You can find the stop button below the run button in the query UI now.

• Am 18. März 2024 wurde aktualisiert, wie in verschiedenen Projekten seitenweites und Benutzer-JavaScript und -CSS im Skin Vector 2022 geladen wird. Eine Checkliste für Administratoren der Seiten steht zur Verfügung.
