- Indem du die Breite des Bildes per Argument anpasst. Das Funktioniert mit einer „Pipe“, gefolgt von der Anzahl an pixeln die das Bild groß sein soll. In der Infobox haben sich 240 Pixel etabliert.

- Mehrere Fehler mit Bezug zu den letzten Aktualisierungen des Hochladeassistenten auf Wikimedia Commons wurden behoben. Siehe T365107 und T365119 für weitere Informationen.
- Im März 2024 wurde eine neue addPortlet-API eingeführt, die es Helferleins ermöglicht, neue Portlets (Menüs) im Skin zu erstellen. Dies kann in bestimmten Skins verwendet werden, um ausklappbare Menüs zu erstellen. Entwickler von Helferleins sind eingeladen, dies auszuprobieren und Rückmeldung zu geben.
- Ein Teil der CSS im Skin Minerva wurde entfernt, um der Community die Konfiguration zu erleichtern. Benutzeroberflächenadministratoren sollten das Rendering auf Mobilgeräten für Aspekte mit Bezug zu folgenden Klassen überprüfen:

BearbeitenHallo Wandelndes Lexikon, hallo Adtonko, könntest Du mir erklären, wie ich mir bei einer Seite, die ich aus einer anderen Sprache auf Deutsch übersetzen möchte, den Quellcode anzeigen lassen kann, damit ich ihn bearbeiten kann? Bisher wird mir immer nur der visual editor angezeigt, bei dem ich beide Sprachversionen nebeneinander sehen kann. Das funktioniert für reinen Text ganz gut, etwas kompliziertere Dinge wie Infoboxen etc. kann ich mit diesem editor aber bisher einfach nicht gut bearbeiten. - Moin,
- ich bin kein wandelndes Lexika, aber ich kann dir vielleicht helfen. Das Übersetzungstool bietet keine Möglichkeit der Quelltext bearbeitung, sofweit ich das mitbekommen habe. Infoboxen sind meistens aus Vorlagen eingebunden und existieren nicht zwingend in beiden Sprachversionen. Daher ist da mit besonderer Vorsicht zu verfahren.
- Meiner Erfahrung nach ist es am Sinnvollsten den neuen Artikel in einer Arbeitsversion im eigenen Benutzernamensraum anlegen zu lassen (per Importwunsch) und so dann den Artikel an die deutsche Wikipedia anzupassen.

DTS: „Lesbarkeit von Wikipediaseiten“
BearbeitenHallo Adtonko,
Wikipedia ist eine der meistgenutzten Informationsquellen der Welt. Doch wie zugänglich und verständlich sind die Texte? An diesem Abend wollen wir gemeinsam die Lesbarkeit von Wikipedia-Artikeln unter die Lupe nehmen. Wir diskutieren darüber, wie wir beitragen können, die Verständlichkeit zu verbessern.
Zu Beginn stellt Salino01 eine Studie von 2021/22 zur „Lesbarkeit von krankheitsbezogenen Wikipedia-Seiten“ vor. Wikipedia ist speziell bei Gesundheitsthemen die erste Anlaufstelle für Informationen. Der Autor der Studie setzt ein automatisiertes, computergestütztes Analyseverfahren zur Bewertung der sprachlichen Qualität der Texte ein. Obwohl die Anwendung einfach ist, ist die Aussagekraft hoch. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse und Erkenntnisse dieser Studie lassen sich leicht auf andere Themenbereiche übertragen.
Anschließend untersuchen wir einen Beispieltext auf seine Allgemeinverständlichkeit. Dabei werden nicht nur statistische Auswertungen verwendet, sondern zusätzlich Sprachniveau, Sprachmelodie, Formulierungen und Stilmittel berücksichtigt. Diese machen es leichter oder schwerer, einen Text zu verstehen. Wie kann Künstliche Intelligenz helfen, die Probleme zu erkennen?
Abschließend beschäftigen wir uns mit der Optimierung von Texten. Es werden Strategien und Techniken vorgestellt, um den Schreibstil von Wikipedia-Artikeln zu verbessern und die Texte für ein breiteres Publikum verständlicher zu gestalten. Und natürlich gibt es beim Themenabend viel Raum für Fragen und Diskussionen.

- Die Software, die zur Erzeugung von Vorschauen für SVG-Dateien genutzt wird, wurde auf eine neue Version aktualisiert, wodurch viele seit langem bestehende Fehler beim SVG-Rendering behoben werden. [9]
- Das HTML, das für das Rendering aller Überschriften genutzt wird, wird geändert, um die Zugänglichkeit zu verbessern. Es wurde in der letzten Woche in manchen Skins (Legacy-Version von Vector und Minerva) geändert. Bitte teste Helferleins in deinem Wiki in diesen Skins und melde alle verwandten Probleme, sodass sie behoben werden können, bevor diese Änderung in Vector-2022 vorgenommen wird. Die Entwickler erwägen weiterhin die Einführung einer Gadget-API für das Hinzufügen von Schaltflächen zu Abschnittstiteln, wenn dies für Ersteller von Werkzeugen hilfreich wäre und würden sich über deine Ansichten hierzu freuen.
- Das von Parsoid für Zitate genutzte HTML-Markup wurde letzte Woche geändert. An Stellen, an denen Parsoid vorher die Klasse

Probleme

DTS: „Das FemNetz stellt sich vor!“

Vielleicht haben sich einige schon gefragt, was FemNetz bedeutet, für was es steht und wer dahintersteckt? Der Digitale Themenstammtisch möchte Klarheit schaffen und hat deshalb das feministische Netzwerk FemNetz eingeladen, sich vorzustellen. Wir laden alle Interessierten am 25. Juni ein, Fragen rund um das Netzwerk zu stellen.
Die Idee zu einem länderübergreifenden Netzwerk (D-A-CH) für feministische Anliegen in der Wikipedia entstand 2019. Das Netzwerk entwickelte sich seitdem organisch in unterschiedlichen Formaten weiter. Treffen fanden während der Pandemie hauptsächlich digital und seit 2023 einmal im Jahr physisch bei der FemNetzCon statt. Daneben ist FemNetz seit 2021 auch regelmäßig auf der WikiCon mit Vorträgen, Workshops und einem Treff präsent.
FemNetz möchte den Anteil der schreibenden und repräsentierten Frauen sowie von inter, trans und nonbinären Personen auf Wikipedia nachhaltig erhöhen und zur Förderung einer Willkommenskultur beitragen, welche die Wikipedia auch künftig für unterschiedliche Menschen lesenswert und zugänglich macht. Wir freuen uns auf den Austausch!

Wir sollten Kinder wirklich von der Wikipedia fernhalten, oder?
Können Kinder bei der Wikipedia mitmachen? Sollten Kinder überhaupt die Wikipedia lesen? Diese Frage wird seit langem diskutiert. Jetzt hat die Wikimedia Foundation einen Bericht vorgelegt, der die Diskussion voranbringen soll.
Deshalb möchten wir Dich herzlich zu unserem digitalen Themenstammtisch einladen! Wir wollen gemeinsam erkunden, welche Probleme wir eigentlich haben - auch wenn wir noch keine klaren Antworten haben. Oder keine angenehmen. Denn wenn wir den Kinderschutz wirklich ernst nehmen würden, müssten wir wenigstens auf die Hauptseite schreiben: Für Kinder ungeeignet. Oder? Die Diskussion wird eingeleitet von Dr. Ziko van Dijk vom Vorstand der Wikipedia + Education User Group, Mitbegründer einer Wiki-Enzyklopädie für Kinder.

- Kurz: Nein, die IP ist so nun sichtbar.
- Lang: Du kannst einem Oversighter oder Bürokraten darum bitten deine IP zu maskieren, meistens wird dem aber nicht stattgegeben, da die IPs im deutschen Sprachraum dynamisch sind, das heißt, sie ändern sich nach 24 Stunden. --Adtonko 22:00, 17. Jun. 2024 (CEST)

Letzte Änderungen
- Personen, die versuchen, im visuellen Editor einen externen Link hinzuzufügen, werden nun direkt eine Rückmeldung erhalten, wenn sie versuchen, auf eine Domain zu verlinken, die im Projekt gesperrt wurde. Siehe bitte Edit Check für weitere Details. [16]
- Die neue Erweiterung Community-Konfiguration ist in der Test-Wikipedia verfügbar. Diese Erweiterung erlaubt es Communitys, bestimmte Funktionen gemäß ihrer lokalen Bedürfnisse anzupassen. Derzeit sind nur Growth-Funktionen konfigurierbar, aber die Erweiterung wird in Zukunft auch andere Anwendungsfälle für die Community-Konfiguration unterstützen. [17][18]
- Die Beta-Funktion Dark-Mode ist nun auch auf Kategorien- und Hilfe-Seiten sowie weiteren Spezialseiten verfügbar. Es kann Kontrast-Probleme geben. Bitte melde Fehler auf der Diskussionsseite des Projekts. [19]
Probleme
- Werkzeuge der Cloud Services waren in der letzten Woche für 25 Minuten nicht verfügbar. Dies wurde durch ein defektes Hardwarekabel im Datenzentrum verursacht. [20]
- In der letzten Woche wurden Designänderungen am Skin Vector 2022 vorgenommen. Dies verursachte unvorhergesehene Probleme mit Vorlagen, Anmerkungen und Bildern. Die meisten Probleme bei Bildern wurden behoben. Wenn du weiterhin welche bemerkst, melde sie hier. [21]
Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche
- Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab dem 18. Juni verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 19. Juni. Auf allen Wikis ab dem 20. Juni (Kalender). [22][23]
- Ab dem 18. Juni wird die Bearbeitungsprüfung für Einzelnachweise in einer Reihe von Wikipedias eingeführt. Die Funktion soll Neulingen und Sichtern helfen, indem sie Personen, die Inhalte zu einem Wikipedia-Artikel hinzufügen, dazu einlädt, einen Einzelnachweis hinzuzufügen, wenn sie es nicht bereits selbst getan haben. Bei einem Test in 11 Wikis hat sich die Anzahl der hinzugefügten Einzelnachweise mehr als verdoppelt, wenn die Einzelnachweisprüfung Personen angezeigt wurde. Die Einzelnachweisprüfung ist für die Community konfigurierbar. [24]
- Mailinglisten werden am Dienstag für etwa zwei Stunden von 12:00 bis 14:00 MESZ nicht verfügbar sein. Dies ermöglicht die Migration auf einen neuen Server und die Aktualisierung der Software. [25]

In den hier nachzulesenden Fällen kann eine Seite auch sofort gelöscht werden.
Du bist herzlich eingeladen, dich an der Löschdiskussion zu beteiligen. Wenn du möchtest, dass der Artikel behalten wird, kannst du dort die Argumente, die für eine Löschung sprechen, entkräften, indem du dich beispielsweise zur enzyklopädischen Relevanz des Artikels äußerst. Du kannst auch während der Löschdiskussion Artikelverbesserungen vornehmen, die die Relevanz besser erkennen lassen und die Mindestqualität sichern.
Da bei Wikipedia jeder Löschanträge stellen darf, sind manche Löschanträge auch offensichtlich unbegründet; solche Anträge kannst du ignorieren.
Vielleicht fühlst du dich durch den Löschantrag vor den Kopf gestoßen, weil durch den Antrag die Arbeit, die Du in den Artikel gesteckt hast, nicht gewürdigt wird. Sei tapfer und bleibe dennoch freundlich. Der andere meint es vermutlich auch gut.

Ein kleines Anliegen:
Wikipedia enthält einen Eintrag über den Familiennamen, den ich auch tragen darf. Ich gehe davon aus, es besteht keine aktuelle inhaltliche Relevanz. Trotzdem bestehen verständlicherweise Assoziationen.
Ich hatte mich damals versucht, den Artikel anpassen wollen und eine aktuelle Abgrenzung / Einordnung finden wollen. Das Resultat blieb unbefriedigend.
Hast du einen Vorschlag, wie mit dieser Situation umzugehen?
Das Thema beschäftigt nun seit längerer Zeit stark. Ich bin dir sehr dankbar, wenn du mir weiterhelfen könntest.

- Hej,
- Meinst du Schöni? Als 'Liste' ist an dem Artikel eigentlich nichts zu verbessern. Es ist eine Begriffsklärung.
- Oder meinst du Schöni (Patrizierfamilie), den Artikel über die Familie an sich? Bei letzerem ist das Entfernen von Informationen, die für einen selber vielleicht irrelevant erscheinen nicht gerne gesehen. Daher wird da auch mal zurückgesetzt.
- Die generalogische männliche Stammlinie wird ausgestorben sein, was jedoch nicht heißt das der Name nicht weiter überleben kann. Wenn du Literatur zu dem Patriziergeschlecht besitzt kannst du den Artikel anhand der dortigen informationen ausbauen --Adtonko 13:31, 24. Jun. 2024 (CEST)

Letzte Änderungen
- Autoren werden bemerken, dass es letzte Woche Änderungen an der Hintergrundfarbe von Text in der Versionsunterschied-Ansicht und an der Farbe der Anzahl der geänderten Bytes gegeben hat. Diese Änderungen sollen Text im hellen und im dunklen Modus besser lesbar machen und sind Teil einer größeren Anstrengung zur Verbesserung der Zugänglichkeit. Du kannst deine Kommentare oder Fragen auf der Diskussionsseite des Projekts teilen. [26]
- Die Textfarben, die für besuchte Links, mit der Maus überfahrene Links und aktive Links genutzt werden, wurden letzte Woche ebenfalls leicht geändert, um die Zugänglichkeit im hellen und im dunklen Modus zu verbessern. [27]
Probleme
- Du kannst Permalinks auf Kommentare auf Diskussionsseiten kopieren, indem du auf den Zeitstempel eines Kommentars klickst. Diese Funktion hat nicht immer funktioniert, wenn der Abschnittstitel sehr lang war und der Link als Wikitext-Link genutzt wurde. Dies wurde behoben. Danke an Lofhi für die Meldung des Fehlers. [28]
Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche
- Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab dem 25. Juni verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 26. Juni. Auf allen Wikis ab dem 27. Juni (Kalender). [29][30]
- Ab dem 26. Juni werden in der Englischsprachigen Wikipedia alle Zeitstempel von Nachrichten auf Diskussionsseiten zu einem Link, wodurch du diese Funktion in allen Wikis nutzen kannst. Dieser Link ist ein permanenter Link auf den Kommentar. Er ermöglicht es Benutzern, den Kommentar zu finden, auch wenn er seither woanders hin verschoben wurde. Du kannst mehr über diese Funktion auf Diff oder auf Mediawiki.org lesen. [31]
